This article shows how to install a Tebfa coolant filter which are available from www.babymall.com.au/tefba.  For Pantera, we need the 1-1/2 filter.

Tools Needed

  • Tebfa Raditor Filter size 1-1/2"
  • Heat gun
  • Siphon and bucket
  • Hose clamps for 1-1/2" hose (2)
  • Screwdriver
  • Mechanics gloves
  • Beer (Fosters oil can)

Installation Steps

 

 

 

 

Screw cap on tight

replace coolant

Start car and Run engine until it is hot enough to open the thermostat

Stop engine and let cool for a good half an hour or so.

Open swirl tank and siphon off the coolant

Remove cap from filter

Pull the filter out and inspect it for large chucks of debris.

Clean the filter and replace it

Replace the coolant

Repeat the inspection in 100 miles.

Depending on what you find and how much you find, repeat the inspection every few hundred to few thousand miles.
